Prep Football: Week 6

Jay (1-3) @ Baker (4-0)  Gametime—7:00pm

Jay travels to Baker this week for the annual “War on Highway 4.” Jay is coming off a 38-20 loss to Escambia Academy last week. Baker, who defeated Cottondale 47-6 last week, has won 33 regular season games in a row. Jay, who last defeated Baker in 2009 21-7, would like nothing more than to be the team that ends that streak.

Last year, Baker defeated Jay, 35-0.

Escambia (4-0) @ Milton (3-1) Gametime—7:30pm

The upstart Panthers welcome the rolling Gators this week to Milton. Milton defeated Choctaw last week, 37-21. Escambia annihilated Gulf Breeze 42-0. Milton will have to stop Escambia’s running attack to stay in this one.

Last year the two schools did not play.

Washington (4-0) @ Pace (1-3) Gametime—7:30pm

The Patriots hosts the Wildcats this Friday. Pace is coming off their first win of the year over Fort Walton Beach, 17-3. While Pace has struggled this season, Washington has been on the upswing this season and is taking a 4-0 record to Santa Rosa County this Friday. Can Pace pull an upset? We’ll see on Friday.

Last year, Pace defeated Washington 58-33.
