JHS FFA Wins State

Both the Jay High School Middle and High School Land Judging Teams placed first at the state contest on March 29. This is a first for Jay High School. The middle school team consisted of Avery Mitchem, Emma Barrow, Josie Lowry, and Emerson Walters (high scorer). The high school team consisted of Ally Ashworth, Austin Ashworth, Travis Godwin, and Logan Cooley (high scorer). Ally, Travis, and Logan are veterans of the contest and have been on the county winning team for 5 years in a row; therefore, this State Championship is one that they have been working towards for many years.

The high school team will be traveling to Oklahoma City on April 29th to compete at the National Land Evaluation competition.6087373C-4BA3-4F74-A297-483E048AE7ED
