Lady Royals’ Season Comes To An End

@ Port St. Joe- It was a fun ride…The Lady Royals’ remarkable season had to come to an end at some point and it did just that in the 1A Regional Finals Championship on Tuesday night. Port St. Joe defeated the Lady Royals 50-43. In a hard fought and physical game, Jay didn’t leave much on the court as they fought to keep the game within reach. Tuesday night’s game was a game of runs. Every time the Sharks would get on a run, the Lady Royals would answer back with a run of their own. At the end of the 3rd, Jay had pulled the game to within 1 point, 31-30, but were never able to take the lead.

As impressive as this year’s 24-3 district champion season was, head coach Brian Watson is only losing 1 senior off this year’s squad. The future looks very bright for the Lady Royals.

Congratulations players and coaches on a phenomenal season. Your school and community are proud of you!
