Playoff Preview

@ Jay-On Thursday night the Lady Royals’ basketball team will be playing in their first playoff game since the 2009-2010 basketball season. That year, Jay was the district runner-up to Ponce de Leon and lost in the first round of the playoffs to Cottondale.

On Thursday night, the District Champs will be hosting Franklin County in the regional semifinals.

Jay, 24-2, has enjoyed success all year. With consistent play from their post players and the ability to mass substitute, Jay has pulled away late to win most games by double digits. Their opponent, Franklin County, has had much more of a roller-coaster season. The Seahawks come into this game with a 14-9 record. They are 2-5 in their last 7 games (2 of those losses to Port St. Joe).

Jay and Franklin County have no common opponents.
