Wreaths Across America In Jay
Wreaths Across America is a national program that provides wreaths to civic organizations to place on Veterans’ gravesites all across America. Each December, in communities just like ours, citizens get together to honor veterans by placing a wreath on their gravesite and say the veteran’s name out loud. This past Saturday, Mitzi Dixon lead the event. This is the third year she has headed up the event for the Jay area. She greeted the crowd and explained what Wreaths Across America does and yge important role it has in our area. Eric Seib, who currently serves as the City Planner for the town of Jay, also played an important role and also spoke. Seib is a recently retired member od the U.S. Navy.
Members of JHS’ Student Government Association also assisted in the event as well.
