Local pageantry system gives back

Blackwater Beauties a local pageantry system in Jay, FL recently visited The Ronald McDonald House in Pensacola to donate their pop tabs that was collected at their most recent pageant. They donated 70lbs totaling 88,690 pop tabs. For the year they have donated over 100 lbs & 114,000 pop tabs to help The Ronald McDonald House. The RMH uses the funds from the pop tabs to pay their utilities. Pictured is Blackwater Beauties Most Charitables for each age category. Blackwater Beauties has also donated over $3,500 in non-perishables to local food pantries in our area. If you would like to be apart of their giving back to the local communities or you would like to sponsor a child, you can contact them at Blackwaterbeauties@gmail.com or like them on Facebook for more information.

Owners & Directors Bobbie Palmer & Niki Morrison said, our goal is to show these girls & boys that there are needs/missions in our own community & there are simple ways to help out by giving back even as a child. We encourage the contestants to collect these pop tabs & we reward them with a crown, custom sash & trophy, but it doesn’t stop there. We take them to local events such as The RMH & the food pantries to help sort food so they can help out & see where their collections are going & the needs. If we can put a smile on a child’s face & help the community as well, then we feel accomplished. Our time is volunteered & our families help us to make this happen, but to know someone in need may have food on the table to eat or a family able to stay close to their sick child at the RMH & we have helped to make that happen, that makes us smile.
