Shelter reduces adoption fees in December

Santa Rosa County Animal Services wants to help get shelter pets in a “fur-ever” home for the holidays! To promote pet adopting (instead of pet shopping) the shelter is reducing adoption fees in December for pets over the age of six months:

Dog adoption fees: $30

Cat adoption fees: $20
Pets available for adoption are posted at www.santarosa.fl.gov/animals and updated daily. Fees include spay and neuter services. In addition, new adoptive pet parents may take their receipt to PetSmart pet supply stores for a free bag of food and over $400 in coupons for supplies or training.
“Our greatest wish this holiday season is for the pets in our shelter to experience the love and warmth of a forever family, especially during the holidays,” said Dora Thomason, animal services supervisor.
If you are unable to adopt but would like to help shelter pets, “Santa Paws” gift collection boxes are located at all Santa Rosa County libraries and most county offices. Drop off food, treats, toys and other pet supplies for the shelter between now and December 20. For more information, contact the shelter at 850-983-4680.
