Royals are in!
The Jay Royals are officially in the FHSAA playoffs. This marks the second consecutive year Jay has reached the playoffs. Jay (5-4) earned the #3 seed in Region 1A’s bracket. The Royals defeated Lighthouse Christian Academy on Friday 44-16 to end the year on a two game winning streak.
Making the playoffs this year marks the first time since the 2001 and 2002 seasons that Jay has made the playoffs in back-to-back years. Additionally with the win, Jay has now had back-to-back winning seasons since the 2007 and 2008 seasons.
With the #3 seed, the Royals will be hosting the #6 seeded Panama City Bozeman Bucks (2-6). Winner will play the victor of Vernon and Chipley.
