Prep Football: Week 3

Jay(1-1) @ Rocky Bayou (2-0) (Game being played at Meigs Middle School)—Gametime 7:00pm

Last week Jay bounced back in a big-time way by defeating Cottondale 40-0. It has been a few years since Jay went to Cottondale and came back with a win. As discussed last week, Jay lost a heart-breaker of a game last year to Cottondale and home. Not this year. Behind James Eddings 160 yards of rushing, the Jay offense got going early. Now the Royals will try and get another road victory over the undefeated Rocky Bayou Knights.

Last year, Jay defeated Rocky Bayou, 42-7. That game was played on a Monday night due to Hurricane Irma that came through the area this time last year.

Pace (2-0) @ Pine Forest (2-0)—Gametime 7:00pm

Pace is riding high at 2-0 with wins over Fort Walton Beach and Pensacola High last week. Pace has been able to control the clock in the two wins by churning out big numbers in the ground game. This week that will be even more important as they face against a VERY talented Pine Forest team. Controlling the clock will be a huge factor if the Patriots are to beat the Eagles in this battle of unbeaten’s.

Last year Pine Forest and Pace did not play due to Hurricane Irma.

Fort Walton (1-1) @ Milton (1-1)—Gametime 7:00pm

Milton is coming off a heart-breaking loss to Choctaw last week. The Panthers clawed their way back into that game late in the fourth to force the game into overtime, but Choctaw won 38-35. This week the Panthers look to flush out those memories by welcoming the Vikings to Haywood Hanna Stadium.

Last year Milton and Fort Walton did not play due to Hurrican Irma.
