North Santa Rosa

Prep Football: Week 2

Jay (0-1) @ Cottondale (0-1)—Gametime 7:00pm

Last week Jay hosted arch-rival Flomaton in front of a packed house at Merle V. North Stadium. While Jay’s defense kept Flomaton at bay and the Royals in the game, the Jay offense couldn’t muster any points. Along with 5 turnovers, the Royals’ made it to the redzone twice, but couldn’t punch it in. This week the Royals will look to bounce back with a team that escaped last year’s game with a late victory over the Royals. Jay had Cottondale 21-0 and held to a 27-14 lead in the fourth before the Hornets ripped the Royals’ heart out winning on a long touchdown pass, 28-27.

(Last year Cottondale beat Jay, 28-27)

Milton (1-0) @ Choctaw (0-1)—Gametime 7:00pm

Milton travels to Choctaw this week. Milton is coming off a season-opening win against Washington last week, 38-15. The young Panthers were able to get their offense going early and will look to do the same this week. Choctaw lost a close one last week, 28-21 to Tate. This should be a good one.

(Last year Milton defeated Choctaw, 27-13).

Pensacola (1-0) @ Pace (1-0)—Gametime 7:00pm

The Patriots host the Tigers this Friday night. Pace is feeling pretty good after their 30-20 victory over Fort Walton last week. Major success was found running the ball last week but the Pensacola High will be a formidable foe this week for the Patriots. Last year the Tigers controlled the game from the start and will look to do the same this week.

(Last year Pensacola High defeated Pace, 40-14)
