Player Safety is Paramount at JHS

With player safety on the minds’ of everyone nowadays, the Royals’ Football Team has begun using tackling wheels at practice during certain times. The amount of physical contact at practice has been reduced by the FHSAA forcing coaches to think outside the box. The device allows a simulation tackle, greatly reducing the possiblity of injury. The Tackle Wheel is designed to roll and simulate a runner. This allows the players  to learn  how to tackle with the proper footwork and technique.

While the Royals still have physical practices, the use of this reduces the injuries associated with tackling.
