Dustin NelsonSanta Rosa Rookie of the Year 2018!

Milton, FL – The Santa Rosa Education Foundation announced Dustin Nelson, a fifth grade Science teacher at West Navarre Intermediate School, as the 2018 Santa Rosa Rookie of the Year during their Rookie of the Year Reception Wednesday afternoon. He was selected from a field of 33 educators with three or less years of teaching experience who were honored at this event. The Gulf Breeze Area Chamber of Commerce presented Dustin with a $500 award. 

“Mr. Nelson is a genuine, kind, and caring educator. He’s a firm believer that building relationships with his students and consistently showing them respect will create a positive culture. He is willing to go the extra mile to facilitate engaging lessons. Dustin’s positive attitude is contagious and radiates in the classroom. He has a unique ability to capture his student’s attention and get them excited about Science.”
