Pace and Patterson Lane construction begins Mar. 12

Construction for the Pace Lane and Patterson Lane drainage improvement project in Pace will begin on Mon., Mar. 12. Portions of Pace Lane will be open to local traffic only during the installation of stormwater piping. Barricades with “Pace Lane closed, local traffic only” signs will be in place during construction. The project, by contract, has a time of completion of 180 days. Time of work will be Mon. through Fri., 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. In the event of weekend work, time will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Residents should expect segmented road closures and heavy earthwork equipment during the stormwater pipe installation. During work hours, some delays to residential driveway access are possible. In the morning and evening hours, residents will have access to their homes over a temporary rock driveway.
This $1 million project is funded at 75% by a FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Projects (HMGP) grant with a 25% county match. For more information, contact Michael Schmidt, P.E., at 850-981-7100.
