Royals Are In!

The Jay Royals are in the FHSAA playoffs for the first time since 2007. A season of two halves finds the Royals riding high. After starting the season 1-4, the Royals have reeled off 5 straight wins, with an average score of 45- 13.

The FHSAA has a new point system in 1A doing away with districts. Throughout the season, the Royals have been on the bubble of getting in the playoff picture, but going into Friday night still needed help. When Vernon, who did hold the 4th seed spot lost to Blountstown and the Royals won, the Royals were in.

Now, the Royals get a second chance against a arch rival and “The War on Highway 4” gets a 2nd showing as Jay will be traveling to Baker on Friday, November 10 at 730pm. When the two met earlier in the season, the Royals found themselves with the lead in the third quarter over the 2nd ranked Gators. Baker came back and won 49-27. That was the last time the Royals have lost.

The rematch hopefully will be as entertaining as the first game.

Get there early.

Go Royals!
