Gameday Finals…Royals win 3rd straight

The Royals took a big crowd to Freeport and came back to Jay with an even bigger win on Friday night. Trailing 21-20 at halftime, the Royals defense caused multiple 2nd half turnovers as their offense grinded out over 400 total yards to pen the Bulldogs 40-21. James Eddings, a junior, rushed for over 200 yards, his third game in a row over 200, as the Royals scored 40 or more, for the third game in a row. Justin Sheffield, a sophomore, had over a hundred yards on the night as well.

Jay (3-4) travels to Freeport (5-4) for a huge game for both schools as they both find themselves on the bubble of the FHSAA’s new playoff system that is based on points instead of diatricts. Gametime is 7pm.
