Jay High Cheerleaders attend LSU camp

The varsity and jr varsity squads 

    
 attended Universal Cheerleaders Association camp this week at LSU and received numerous awards.
The varsity, coached by Junia Fischer, took home 1st in cheer and 3rd in chant. Our mascot, Kennedy Cato, received 2nd in mascot follies and was named an All-American. Jescie Roberts received the pin-it-forward award and was invited to tryout for the UCA staff. 
The JV, coached by Heather Willis, won 1st in cheer and chant, 2nd in xtreme routine, and were overall camp champions. Caroline Harp and Hannah Williams were recognized as All-Americans, and Hollee Emmons received the pin-it-forward award.
Both squads received bids to the Citrus Bowl for making all superiors the entire week.
