YOUTH FOOTBALL AND CHEERLEADING REGISTRATION UNDERWAY
The City of Milton Youth Football and Cheerleading Program is ready to start its third year as a member of the Northwest Florida Youth Sports Alliance.
Youth Cheerleading
Registration for Youth Cheerleading is now through May 19 and the cost is $95 per person. This includes participation in the Milton High School Cheerleading Camp but not the cost of the uniform. Registration is Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday May 6th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Guy Thompson Community Center.
This year the cheerleaders will be divided up into five different age groups with one team per group:
• Mighty Mite 5-6 years of age
• Mini Mite 7-8 years of age
• Mite 9-10 years of age
• Midget 11-12 years of age
• Juniors 13-14 years of age
Youth Football
Registration for Youth Football is now open and will end July 14 and costs $100 which includes a trophy, jersey to keep, one mouth piece as well as use of shoulder pads, helmet, and game pants with integrated pads. Registration for Football is Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday June 24th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Guy Thompson Community Center.
The Guy Thompson Community Center will also be offering a strength and conditioning camp that will get underway on July 9th. The camp will be held every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday until July 28th.
Players in the football program will be split into the following ages and groups:
• Mighty Mites 5-6 years of age
• Mini-Black 7 years of age
• Mini-Gold 8 years of age
• Mite Black 9 years of age
• Mite Gold 10 years of age
• Midget Black 11 years of age
• Midget Gold 12 years of age
• Juniors 13-14 years of age
