MUSIC RETURNS TO THE BLACKWATER RIVER APRIL 14, 2017

The City of Milton Parks and Recreation Department is releasing the spring 2017 schedule for Bands on the Blackwater all-star lineup!This year’s spring schedule will feature 12 awesome concerts for the ever growing concert series.
On April 14th the season will kick off with The Astronauts returning to the South Willing St. concert area.
Other artists featured this year will be Chloe Channell, Not Quite Fab, The Modern Eldorados, The Bay Bridge Band, The Blenders, and The CrossTown Band.
All concerts will be held on South Willing Street in downtown Milton. The concerts start at 7 p.m. and end at 9 p.m.
Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to the event area.

Bands on the Blackwater Schedule Fall Schedule 
April 14 – The Astronauts – The Astronauts will launch a big bash to close the season with their high energy party tunes from the 80’s, 90’s and beyond. These friends/musicians will keep you entertained for hours on end.
April 21 – Not Quite Fab – This Beatles Tribute Band from Pensacola, Fla., who will help you can relive the music made famous by the Fab Four at the start of the British Invasion.
April 28 – Chloe Channell – The former America’s Got Talent contestant is the consummate performer who has opened for the likes of Tracy Bird, Rodney Adkins, Little Big Town, Craig Morgan, Ronnie McDowell, and the “Queen of Bluegrass” Rhonda Vincent to name a few.
May 5 – Modern Eldorados – Gretsch Lyle and his Modern Eldorados present an original brand of classic country music that has those in attendance honky tonkin’ from their home base region of Mobile, Ala., all the way across the Atlantic Ocean in Europe.
May 12 – The Blenders – Take your favorite 70’s and 80’s rock songs and mix in a heaping helping of soul and you have a night you will never forget with this awesome Pensacola based band.
May 19 – The Reunion Band – This band of friends and musicians started out in high school and still rock concerts and events today with their special sound of 60’s and 70’s classic rock.
May 26 – The Dusty Sanderson Band – Get ready to put some drive in your country with this awesome band that combines today and yesterday country hits for an awesome night of music.
June 2 – Bay Bridge Band – Spanning the generations of music from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s the Bay Bridge Band features a full horn section as they entertain you with music from influences like Chicago, Blood Sweat and Tears, Van Morrison, The Doobie Brothers and others.
June 9 – Déjà Vu – The Deja Vu Band have been delighting audiences with the right mix of showmanship and incredible musicianship since 2003 delivering a wide genre of music from modern country, R&B, and Classic Rock through today’s best hits.
June 16 – The Rowdies – Get ready for a wild night of 70’s and 80’s southern rock the like of which will take to you the times of Lynard Skynard and many others when the Atlanta music scene made it hot.
June 23 – Southern Breeze – This band is a combination of a beautiful gulf wind with the sounds of country and southern rock music that will take you back to a time that will make you smile the night away.
June 30 – CrossTown Band – The CrossTown Band has developed a huge following along the Florida Gulf Coast with a unique diversity and versatility from its members featuring a wide variety of music from classic rock, blues, top 40, county, and more covering the 1960’s to today.
