Santa Rosa Woman’s Club December Meeting and Events

Gulf Breeze, Florida, December 16, 2016– Tuesday, Dec 6th, GFWC Santa Rosa Woman’s Club held it’s fourth educational luncheon of the season, highlighting programs and volunteer opportunities for members. At the luncheon, President, Sally Stanford, installed four new members into the club. SRWC is proud to present their newest members, Beverly Sirgurnjak, sponsored by Martha Brenenstahl, as well as, Tiffany Finelli, Sandy Jones, and Kim Lien, sponsored by Angi Huntley.   

On December 3rd, Santa Rosa Woman’s Club participated in the Gulf Breeze Christmas Parade. Their masquerade holiday themed float was honored with the Top Hat Float Award.

In December, the club volunteered their time and talents to the residents of Bay Breeze Senior Living and Rehabilitation Center, helping them decorate Christmas stockings in addition to collecting gifts to fill the seniors stockings.

 

SRWC held their annual holiday party at the home of Marion Ginn December 11th.

 

The January 3rd meeting is being coordinated by the SRWC Home Life Committee, led by committee chair, Sheree Northrup. Sheree, along with committee members Marion Ginn, Pat Worsnop, Angi Huntley, and Vangie Anastopoulo are raising funds and awareness for Santa Rosa Kids House, Children In Crisis, and the Blue to Better campaign. Dr. Karen Barber, Director of Federal Programs for Santa Rosa County, will be the guest speaker at the January luncheon. Dr. Barber will be educating the group on the alarming number of homeless teens in Gulf Breeze and South Santa Rosa Schools and how our community can help.

 

GFWC Santa Rosa, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, has been serving the Gulf Breeze community for more than 52 years. As part of the General Federation of Women’s Club and Florida Federation of Women’s Clubs, SRWC joins the largest volunteer organization of women in the world.
