Santa Rosa County recognizes Library System’s Cindy Deem as Employee of the Quarter
Cindy Deem was recently selected as Santa Rosa County’s Employee of the Quarter. As the special services coordinator for the Santa Rosa County Library System, Deem has worked in libraries most of her career and continually seeks opportunities to learn and grow within her profession. Deem oversees the library system’s outreach program providing reading and audio materials to 10 Santa Rosa County nursing and assisted living facilities, the Kids’ House and two correctional facilities. She manages the library system’s web site and helps promote library programs to the public. She wrote a successful grant application for five early literacy computer stations valued at more than $15,000, and she will be facilitating the new Career Online High School for adults as a result of another grant she administered.
“Cindy assists many different departments locally and at the state level. With a positive, can-do attitude, Cindy can always be counted on to lend a hand,” said Library Director Gwen Wilson.
