SATURDAY NIGHT DANCE AT THE GUY THOMPSON COMMUNITY CENTER
Saturday night there will be a dance party at the Guy Thompson Community Center (GTCC).The dance, which is set for Sept. 17 from 6-9 p.m., is going to work in conjunction with the center’s Monday morning line dance class/exercise program.
Besides music you can line dance to there will be a variety of other dances to include waltzes, east coast swing, and two-step.
“We are very excited about having our first dance,” said Joe Paschal, who serves as the Guy Thompson Community Center’s director of senior programs. “We are welcoming people of all ages to come have a great time and dance the night away.”
The cost of the dance is $5 per person and there will be light refreshments available as well.
The dance will be under the direction of Butch Antone, who serves as the line dance instructor at the GTCC.
“We hope to have more dances in the future,” said Paschal. “Our goal is to grow our programs for active older adults in the Milton/Pace and surrounding areas.”
