Disturbance leads to Shooting Deaths

On 8/5/16 at 10:15 pm, Deputies with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 12000 block of Chumuckla Hwy in Jay in reference to what began as a disturbance. While in route, information was being received through dispatch that the incident was quickly escalating. 

Upon arrival, an adult male and adult female were found inside the home with severe gunshot wounds. One was pronounced deceased at the residence, the other was transported to a local area hospital. We were later informed the second individual had also died.

At this time, our Major Crimes Detectives are actively investigating this incident. We are currently working this case as a possible murder-suicide.

The deceased were identified as:

Brandon Hayes Hammett 36 years of age

Stacy Marie Williams 33 years of age
