Odom Begins Her Tenure as Royals’ Volleyball Coach

Jessie Odom will begin the 2016 school year as the head volleyball coach for Jay High School. Odom, a 2007 graduate of Jay High School has been serving as Scott Campbell’s assistant for 3 years. After Campbell’s first season, the Royals volleyball team has had a record of above .500, 73-60, including several trips to the playoffs. Odom is excited to carry on the winning ways and has a lot of experience to bring into her new leading role.

Going back to Odom’s playing days, she played 6 years at Jay High, lettering 5 of the six, and received a scholarship to play volleyball, starting 2 years at Jefferson .

“The girls and I are really excited about this year. I have a lot of talent to work with and all the girls are ready to learn and work really hard and I think we’re going to surprise everyone.” Odom says.
