Jay Cheer attends camp at Auburn

The Jay High cheerleaders attended UCA cheer camp at Auburn University this past week.  They spent four days learning new material to use in the upcoming season.  The entire cheer program was awarded theTOP BANANA  (a spirit award)

   JV and Varsity squads each brought home many awards.  The JV squad brought home gold evaluations each night in cheer, chant, and extreme dance.   Carly Willis and Peighton Cobb were named All-Americans and qualify to cheer in Orlando.  The squad also placed third in final day competitions in each category.

 The varsity squad also brought home many awards.  They received gold each day in evaluations for cheer, chant, extreme routine. 

  

  

  

  

  

    Carsen Arrant received gold in the jump competition.  Jescie Roberts was named Hip Hop Dancing Diva.   Four girls were named All-American; Savannah Seevers, Meghan Mayo, Madelyn Godwin, and Rebecca Boutwell.  These girls qualify to cheer in London.   All four varsity All-Americans were asked to try-out for UCA staff positions.   On final day evaluations, varsity took third in extreme routine, and first in cheer, sideline cheer, and band dance.  They also placed first in game day ready competition.

If you would like to see these girls perform they will be at the Blue Wahoos game on August 1st, for Jay night!   The girls are selling tickets to this game so contact one of them or their coaches, Heather Willis and Junia Fischer for tickets.
