Domestic Disturbance leads to Chase

Deputies with the Santa Rosa County Sheriffs were dispatched to the 6000 block of Glenwood Drive in Milton Florida at approximately 9:30 am today in reference to a domestic disturbance. A male suspect identified as Jonathan Lynn Simmons battered and made death threats to the victim as well as Law Enforcement. The suspect left the residence in a vehicle in an unknown direction with the victim.A Santa Rosa Deputy located the suspect vehicle several miles from the residence. When Deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the suspect fled. A pursuit began in the area of Airport Road in Milton. Simmons entered I-10 interstate and began traveling Eastbound. FHP and Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office assisted as Simmons continued out to Okaloosa County. Spike strips were deployed and the vehicle came to a stop on I-10 within Okaloosa County.

Simmons and the victim were transported to local area hospitals.
