Santa Rosa County Severe Weather Update #2

Current Weather Status
There continues to be a risk of severe weather until 3 a.m.
High surf is expected along the coast (5-8 ft. surf heights through Wednesday).
Residents are strongly encouraged to stay inside.
Flash flood watch still in effect.
Damage Assessments
The area of 14th and San Miguel in Avalon Beach is closed due to debris and several reports of damage. Public works crews are on scene. No reported injuries.
The driver of a semi truck that overturned on 1-10 bridge was transported with injuries. Traffic on I-10 is still delayed at the scene.
Santa Rosa County is offering mutual aid of fire and EMS responders to Escambia County.
Report any significant damage or injury to 911.
Crews are still assessing damages in the county.
Schools and Businesses
All Santa Rosa District Schools will be open Wednesday morning.
Pensacola State College will be open Wednesday morning.
All local county government offices will be open Wednesday morning.
Power Outages
Escambia County River Cooperative is not reporting any power outages.
Gulf Power is aware of all current outages, however those still without power by Wednesday morning should contact Gulf Power at 1-800-GU-Power (1-800-487-6937). An outage map is available at www.MyGulfPower.com
