Kazoo makes special appearance at Jay Elementary School

Wednesday- The Blue Wahoos are known for excelling on the baseball diamond, but their mascot, Kazoo, wants kids in our area to excel in the classroom too, especially in reading. Representatives from the Blue Wahoo Organization, along with Kazoo, visited Jay Elementary School on Wednesday to promote reading in a fun way. Kazoo’s Grand Slam Reading Program gives students chances to receive prizes for reading such as bookmarks, armbands, and even a chance to win free tickets to a Wahoo’s baseball game for an entire class! While at Jay, Kazoo acted out a story that was read aloud to students. Afterwards, students were quizzed about the story and some received prizes.
