North Santa Rosa

What we Learned from Week 1

Pace may be pretty good…

So far this year, including the jamboree, Pace has outscored their opponents, Choctaw and Fort Walton, 68-35. Last year, the Patriots started off 0-3, record wise, before they won their first game. This year’s squad seems legit.

Jay will be fine…

Even though Flomaton outscored the Royals 55-26, the Royals moved the ball well. Problem was, the Royals had four turnovers, all of which the Hurricanes capitalized on (not to mention a kickoff return for a touchdown by the ‘Canes). If the Royals take care of ball security, they’ll be fine.

Lastly, Milton has heart…

Two weeks in a row, Milton has won close games. Last week, they beat WS Neal 14-6. This past Friday, they avenged last year’s loss to Washington with an impressive and emotional overtime thriller in their season opener. Can they keep it up?

Check back next week for an inside look at Week 2’s matchups.
