Vehicle Burglary Arrest

Deputies with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on 7/20/15 at approximately 8:30 am. The address was listed as the 1200 block of Redwood Lane in Gulf Breeze.

Deputies were investigating leads which were established by witnesses indicating the presence of stolen items at the residence of Nicholas Castanon, a 21 year old Gulf Breeze resident. The execution of the search warrant produced multiple items which were reported stolen in recent vehicle burglaries in the area of Redwood Lane.

Our investigation connected this suspect to approximately 10 other vehicle burglaries within that same area. Items recovered included radios, purses, wallets, credit cards, GPS units, and cameras. These items were all connected to the originating vehicle burglaries and will be subsequently returned to the rightful owners.

Castanon was arrested and taken to the Santa Rosa County Jail where he remains on a $40,000.00 bond.

All of the vehicles which were burglarized were unlocked at the time of the crime.
