Jimmy Ates Jr.

Jimmy Ates Jr., age 41 of Berrydale, Florida lost his courageous battle with Cancer on May 6, 2015. He worked with many aspects of the Forestry and made many good friends. He enjoyed his time coaching little league ball at Fidelis and coaching soccer at the YMCA in Brewton. He came to know the Lord as his Savior. Jimmie dearly loved his children. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Clara Ates and brother, Jason Ates. Jimmie is survived by his children, Autumn and Jimmie Ates (Kami Ates) and Mikayla Ates (Keirah Lillard); aunt, Louverne (Bob) Evanoff; uncles, Earl Wise (Marie) and William Wise. He is also survived by numerous relatives. A visitation will be held Friday, May 8, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Jay Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11:00 am at Jay Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Nelson officiating. Active pallbearers will be Jeff Wise, Bob Evanoff, Joe Ates, John Diamond, Justin Conner, and Scott Jordan. The family would like to thank the staff at Jay Hospital, Sacred Heart Hospital and Emerald Coast Hospice for their compassionate care they provided to our loved one.
