Novelle Floyd

Novelle “Datchie” Floyd age 93 of Jay, Florida passed away in Milton on March 10, 2015. Novelle was a lifelong resident of Jay and enjoyed attending services at Pine Grove Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, sister, and friend to those who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband Ben Floyd, sisters Merle Lewis, Eloise Bradley, Lela Mae Nelson, and Hazel Rowell, brothers J.B Lewis and Oliver Lewis. She is survived by Ben (Deborah) Floyd, grandchildren Kerry Lucas, Christian Grimes, and McKenzie Hawkins, and a very loving niece Lynette Johnson. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday March 12, 2015 at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Jay, Florida with Brother Robert Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on the same date and location. Pallbearers will be Frank Rowell, Mike Rowell, Willie Trawick, Buddy Bradley, Ken Lewis, and Shorty Floyd. Honorary pallbearers will be Eugene Phillips, Roger Floyd, Ben West, Jerry Rowell, and Ricky Ellis. The family would like to give a special thanks to Pruitt Healthcare and Covenant Hospice.
