Clara M Ates

Clara “Pumpkin” Ates age 61 of Berrydale Florida passed away on January 22, 2015. She was born on February 1, 1953 to Ester and Ella Mae Wise. She was a loving wife, mother, granny, and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Ates; son, Jason Ates; brothers, Charles and Cecil Wise; and sisters, Helen Gilley and Shirley Kee.

She is survived her son Jimmie Ates Jr; grandchildren Autumn Ates and Jimmie Ates III (Kami Ates) and Mikayla Ates (Keriah Lillard); sister Luverin Evanoff (Bob); brothers Earl Wise (Marie), William Wise and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Pallbearers will be Joe Ates, Jeff Wise, Robert Marchant, BoBo Gilley, Tim Wilson, Edward Jordan. Funeral services will be held on 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Berrydale Baptist Church with Kevin Nelson officiating services. A visitation will be held from 2-3:00 p.m. prior to funeral services. Burial will follow at Berrydale Baptist Church cemetery. Jay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
