@ Central- Carissa Mulford scored 29 to lead the Royals past the Jaguars in the rival matchup. Makayla SImmons lead all scorers with 32, but it wasn’t enough for Central (14-10) to beat Jay (6-14). The Royals battled back from a 17-3 deficit to end the first quarter 17-9 on a buzzer beater three from Mulford from half court (one of her five 3 pointers). Central led 29-28 at the half. The second half was filled with many free throws as both squads shot 43 a piece for a combined total of 86 free throws in Thursday night’s game. The final score was Jay 60 Central 56.

Next for Central is Saturday when W.S. Neal comes to town.

Jay travels to Catholic today at 4:15.
