It’s HOMECOMING WEEK in Jay

IMG_6240Homecoming week is in full swing at Jay High School.  A door decorating competition is in progress.  Classes are working on skits for the Lion’s Roar, decorating floats, and getting the proper attire for the homecoming dance.

On Monday the week long festivities were started with a mini-carnival and a bonfire.  Many students enjoyed the night.

Important dates:

Lion’s Roar , Thursday 9:00 (where the Homecoming Queen will be crowned)    followed by the big pep rally in the stadium at 1:00

Powder puff volleyball will be Friday morning followed by the parade at 2:00 downtown.

Homecoming activities will take place before the game Friday night.

Any “retired” Jay Cheerleaders are welcome to join in at the spirit line and then cheer with the girls the first quarter of the ballgame .

HOMECOMING PARADE INFORMATION:

The Homecoming Parade will be held this Friday at 2:00PM.  Participants are to meet at the Jay Park by 1:00PM for line-up.  The Parade route will be eastbound on Highway 4 from the park, right turn onto Commerce Street, then slight right turn onto highway 89 and will finish at the High School.
