Lady Royals split double header in home opener

9/4/14 @Jay- The Lady Royals (3-3, 1-2) split Thursday night’s games vs. Holmes County and Chipley. In the matinee matchup, the Royals took care of Holmes County in 3 games. Chipley, the much stronger opponent, was a different story. The Royals won the first game against Chipley, narrowly lost the second, before running out of steam in the final two.

Coach Scott Campbell knew tonight’s games, especially against Chipley, would be a tough task, but feels good about where he team is in this point of the season and likes the maturation he sees. “Our younger players are starting to play better. Hopefully we will all continue to improve,” stated Campbell.
