WEEKLY ACTIVITIES AT THE MILTON COMMUNITY CENTER
The following activities are scheduled to occur the week of June 9 – June 13 at the Milton Community Center. All activities are free and open to the public unless a fee is indicated.
Monday – June 9
9 a.m. – Cards and games for seniors. Come out and enjoy games and refreshments at the Milton Community Center. This is a free activity.
6 p.m. – Zumba: Enjoy the fast pace of dancing and exercise all in one activity. Class is $5.
Tuesday – June 10
9 a.m. – Yoga: An enjoyable exercise class for all skill levels. A relaxing and beneficial hour. Class is $5.
6 p.m. – Yoga: An enjoyable exercise class for all skill levels. A relaxing and beneficial hour. Class is $5.
Wednesday – June 11
8:30 a.m. to noon – Senior Volleyball. This is a co-ed activity for seniors and everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy the event or look to become a participant. (FREE)
9 a.m. to noon – Artist gathering: If you paint, draw or sketch you are invited to the Milton Community Center to practice your art among other artist in a fun and relaxing atmosphere. (FREE)
2 p.m. – Ballroom Dancing: Learn the popular dance steps to the Samba, Salsa, and other popular ball room dances. Class is $5.
6 p.m. – Yoga: An enjoyable exercise class for all skill levels. A relaxing and beneficial hour. Class is $5.
Thursday – June 12
6 p.m. – Panhandle Writers Group Meeting: Meet with area writers to critique and offer opinions on written works such as short stories, poems, and parts of books. (FREE)
6:30 p.m. – Line Dancing: Practice your dance steps in the Milton Community Center. A fun enjoyable way to get some exercise. Class is $5.
Friday – June 13
8:30 a.m. to noon – Senior Volleyball. This is a co-ed activity for seniors and everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy the event or look to become a participant. (FREE)

6 p.m. – Bands on the Blackwater. The City of Milton’s nine week concert series that will feature this week The Groovinators, a four-piece jammin’ funk-rock-blues band from Lower Alabama. They are a tad bit unpolished with its improvised groove, but they are southern-fried rock and roll.
