Mt Carmel Church- update & meeting information

Fire departments were on scene yesterday to fight a fire at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.  The fire is thought to have started from a lightning strike.  As firemen and church members gathered, flames were seen coming from the center of the T formation of the church.  Smoke was flowing from all areas around the building.  The building was a total loss but the fellowship hall, Hood Hall, was saved

Many members of the church gathered at Jay United Methodist last night for a service and reflection. After such a sad gathering, the congregation exited the church to see a beautiful double rainbow, a symbol of God’s promise.

The church will meet for worship services this  Sunday at the old Cornerstone Church building in Jay, at 11:00.
