Largest turnout ever for JHS Sports Banquet

To say that this year’s Jay High School Sports Banquet was a success would be an understatement. Over 225 athletes, coaches, and parents packed in the Jay United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall for a night full of laughs, memories,  and recognition of all of JHS’ sports teams.

The evening was kicked off by newly appointed Jay Quarterback Club president Eric Seib, then Lance Youngblood, JHS’ AD, followed by a great meal catered by Sonny’s BBQ. Following dinner, each head coach spoke about each individual player in their program. At the conclusion of the evening, all seniors were awarded plaques for their years’ involved in the different sports programs at JHS.

“This is a real testimony to the support our students here at JHS get from home to have this many in attendance,” stated Coach Youngblood. “The Quarterback Club does an outstanding job for us. We couldn’t function the way we do without them.”
