ECSO Honors Volunteers at Annual Luncheon
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office will be honoring our volunteers this week with a special luncheon. In 2013, volunteers worked 5,714 hours at the ECSO.
“Like our ever important Neighborhood Watch groups, our volunteers are valuable assets in our community,” said Sheriff David Morgan, “Escambia County benefits from the vast experience and knowledge of our volunteers in fighting crime and in saving money. A point of fact is, our volunteers have saved the taxpayers more than $41,426.50* in man hours last year.”
The Annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon will take place at 11:30 am, Friday April 11 at the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office Administration Building at 1700 West Leonard Street. The outstanding contributions made by these individuals will be recognized and the Volunteer of the Year for 2014 will be announced. The media is encouraged to attend and may contact Sena Maddison at (850) 554-2369 for more information.
