Arrest Made in Death Investigation

Marcus Ferrell Toler has been charged with Aggravated Battery on an elderly person in the death of Ben Stallworth, 76.
At 11:45 Tuesday night, March 4, 2014, deputies responded to a disturbance in the 1700 block of Lakeview. The 76 year old victim was sitting on the couch with obvious injuries. EMS arrived and the victim lost consciousness before being transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The victim’s son stated to deputies that he had heard his father yell for him and upon entering the room, discovered an unidentified black male in a struggle with his father. The suspect fled.
