State Corrections Officer Arrested for Sex Battery Charges

On 2/13/14, Billy Chad Gibson was arrested by Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Deputies. Gibson was the focal point of an investigation conducted by Major Crimes Detectives involving sexual related crimes. Gibson was charged with 10 counts of Capitol Sex Battery on a child less than 12 years of age which had occurred between 2012 and 2013.

A signed warrant was obtained for his arrest at the conclusion of the investigation. Gibson was an employee of the Santa Rosa State Corrections Institution.

Bond was set at $1.5 million and is currently at the Santa Rosa County Jail
