Weekend Stabbing – Milton
The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the area of Stardust Trail in Milton on Saturday night. Witnesses advised a man was stabbed during an altercation.
Upon arrival of the Deputies, the altercation was no longer in progress. EMS arrived on scene and began to tend to the wounds of the adult male victim. The victim was transported to an area hospital.
Deputies began to gather statements from witnesses and eventually were able to determine that Kristopher T. Keefer (DOB 4-5-77) had stabbed the victim several times in the back. Reports indicate the two had been arguing for most of the day. When the suspect confronted the victim, they agreed to talk out on the street. It was at that point a fight began. Keefer, who was armed with a knife, stabbed the victim.
Keefer was taken to an area hospital where he was checked for injuries. He was released into the custody of waiting Deputies and was arrested. Keefer was taken to the Santa Rosa County Jail and as placed in a $25,000.00 Bond. Keefer was charged with Aggravated Battery with a deadly weapon.
We were later informed the victim was in serious condition at the hospital.
