Jay High’s Girls Basketball Win at Home

The girls basketball teams at Jay High provided some great entertainment for fans on Thursday and Friday.   Varsity’s exciting game on Thursday against Catholic kept fans on their feet as they went into two overtimes to defeat Catholic.  Senior, Hillary Hendricks, led the Lady Royals will 17 points during the game and hit 4 out of 5 free throws during the two overtimes.  Carissa Mulford scored 5 during regular game play but added  8 more during the overtimes.  Other Royals scoring were  Paige Smith with 2, and Hannah Prescott & Emily Russell with 1 each.

In Friday’s game against Tate, Hendricks and Mulford were on fire again leading the Royals with 16 points each to down the Aggies.  Others scoring for the Royals were Emily Dobson with 8,  Paige Smith with 4,  Katie Baker,  Emily Russell, Taylor Moore and Bayleigh Upton added 2 each.
