Chumuckla School Reunion-September 28-2013
The 2013 Chumuckla School Reunion is set for September 28, 2013. The reunion will be at the Living Truth Church-formally known as the Farmer’s Opry, located at 8897 Byrom Campbell Road-Pace , Florida 32571. Phone: 850-994-9219
This year’s lunch will served at 12:00 noon. Cost: $12.50 (If we do not have more than 75 people, the cost will be $15.00-please share this information!)
Last year, the Chumuckla School Reunion Committee decided to pay tribute to a longtime Chumuckla Area Family that has lived, worked, supported and contributed to the Chumuckla Area. This acknowledgment will be done on an annual basis. This year, the descendants of the William H. and Mary Ellen McArthur Salter Family will be recognized. If you are a relative/descendant of the William H. and Mary Ellen McArthur Family, please plan to attend and please share with your family members.
A program consisting of socializing, Chumuckla story-telling and the recognition of the Salter Family Descendants will be from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. After lunch and socializing, a tour is being planned at our beloved Chumuckla School.
We encourage all of you to bring cameras and take many photos. As many of you know, there is talk that the old school cafeteria may be demolished to make room for newer buildings. The school was built around 1922 and this treasure may not be around for all of us to enjoy.
