SWAT Incident in Santa Rosa

Santa Rosa County Deputies ended a stand-off this afternoon with no injuries being reported. Deputies attempted to serve a warrant on Joshua Randell Mauldin who was located on Appaloosa Ave in Milton FL. The suspect barricaded himself in the home and refused to exit. The suspect was also armed with a gun and was inside with a female subject who was believed to be a girlfriend. The suspect and the girlfriend were ordered several times to come out of the home but they both refused. The female was later identified as Brittany Slay

SWAT arrived on scene and began to make entry into the home. At this point, both individuals exited the location and were taken into custody. The gun was later recovered from inside the home. While in the back of a patrol car, Mauldin began to kick both rear doors of the cruiser causing permanent damage to the vehicle. After a short period of resisting, Deputies were able to regain control of Mauldin and was secured in the vehicle without further incident.

Mauldin was wanted for violation of probation warrants out of Santa Rosa County.

Both suspects were transported to the Santa Rosa County Jail. Mauldin is being held without bond. Slay is being held on a $25000.00 bond.

Felony VOP Warrant: NO BOND
Burglary of an unoccupied Structure
2 Counts Grand Theft
2 Counts Dealing in Stolen Property
Possession of a controlled substance
Forgery of a Check
Uttering a Forged Instrument

Charges : Slay
Posession of Listed Chemicals / Manufacture Controlled Substance $25000. Bond
