Local Dentist Receives Academy of General Dentistry Mastership Award
The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is pleased to announce that Thomas H. Pyritz, DDS, MAGD, CDT of Pensacola, Florida received the association’s Mastership Award during the AGD 2013 Annual Meeting & Exhibits, held from June 27 to 30 in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Mastership Award is the highest AGD honor available and one of the most respected designations within the profession. To earn this award, Dr. Pyritz completed 1,100 hours of continuing education.
As a Mastership Award recipient, Dr. Pyritz joins more than 2,300 active AGD Masters who have gone above and beyond the basic requirements to care for their patients’ oral health.

Dr. Pyritz graduated from Emory University School of Dentistry in 1984 and currently practices dentistry in Milton as the Dental Director for the Santa Rosa County Health Department. He also has a private practice in Pensacola, located on University Parkway, offering evening and weekend appointments. Dr. Pyritz has many patients at both the Health Department and his private practice who live in the north Santa Rosa communities.
