NEW IMMUNIZATION CLINIC HOURS AT THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH IN SANTA ROSA COUNTY MIDWAY LOCATION
MILTON – Beginning July 1, the Florida Department of Health in Santa Rosa County will begin new immunization hours at its Midway location at 5840 Gulf Breeze Parkway in Gulf Breeze. Immunizations will be offered on Tuesday 8:00 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The health department has also discontinued its monthly extended hours clinic previously held the third Thursday of each month. The change in clinic hours is in response to a decline in demand for services and budget reductions.
“Many private physicians and other medical clinics are offering immunizations and we are not seeing the numbers of clients we have in the past,” said Sandra L. Park-O’Hara, A.R.N.P., administrator of the Florida Department of Health in Santa Rosa County.
Parents will still be able to obtain copies of their child’s Florida Certificate of Immunization, commonly referred to as Form 680, which is required for school entry, during regular business hours, as long as their child’s immunizations are up to date.
Immunizations are provided at no fee for eligible children through the age of 18 through the Vaccines for Children program. There is a fee for adult vaccines.
