Hit & Run Accident in Jay
| A hit and run type accident took place in Jay yesterday. An unknown driver was traveling westbound on SR 4 approaching Booker Ln. Zane Burkhead was stopped facing west in the westbound lane of SR 4 at the intersection of SR 4 awaiting oncoming traffic to make a left turn. The unknown driver failed to stop and struck Burkhead’s 97 Ford F250 truck. The unknown driver fled the scene after he was verbally aggressive.
The vehicle was described as a 90’s, light brown, full sized, Chevrolet type pickup. The pickup has front end damage. The grill and right headlight were popped out at impact but stayed connected to the vehicle.
The driver was described as a 5’7″, tan, white male, with a star tattoo around his navel.
