Emily Phyllis Brunson Brabham, 77, of Jay passed away on May 31, 2013 with her family by her side.  Emily enjoyed the little moments in life – going for a walk, playing with her cat, buying a present for a friend, traveling to places new and old, or going out for a nice dinner.   Emily devoted her life to spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Emily was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Haynes Brabham; her son, Stanley Robert Brabham; and her parents, Forrest and Phyllis Brunson.

Emily leaves behind two sons, Mark (Sonja) Brabham, and Matt (Lori) Brabham; and daughter, Lynne (Chris) McDonald; seven grandchildren: Robert, Shelton, Steven, Tyler, Garrett, Logan and Katie; and sister Christine Brand and two brothers, Sonny (Arlene) Brunson and Charlie (Echo) Brunson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, June 3, 2013 at Jay Funeral Home from 4 -5:30 p.m. The Funeral Services will begin at 5:30 pm with the Rev. Earl Greene officiating.  Graveside services will be Tuesday June 4, 2013 at Holly Hill Cemetery in Port St. Joe, FL at 4 pm EST.

Jay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family would like to express their gratitude and thankfulness to the Sacred Heart Cancer Center – Physicians, nurses and staff; Covenant Hospice; Caregivers – Cheryl Findley and Angie Killam; and the Flomaton Care Team – Ruth Harrell, Jo Nolin and Karen Tullis.
