2013 Mullet Toss will bring fishy fun to Perdido Key April 26-28

PERDIDO KEY, Fla. (April 18, 2013) – April isn’t complete until we have April Fool’s Day on April 1, income tax deadline day on April 15, and crowds of people throwing fish across the Alabama-Florida state line on the last full weekend of the month.

This year, the annual interstate mullet toss will take place April 26-28 at the Flora-Bama Lounge, the rollicking beach bar that uses fishy fun each year to raise money for charity, award prizes to fish-flingers and to hold “the Gulf Coast’s Greatest Beach Party.”

The mullet tossing begins at noon on April 26 and at 10 a.m. on both April 27-28. There are numerous categories for contestants, including men, women, children and physically challenged people.

In addition there will be daily bikini contests, beach games, live music from local performers, and great food.

The Mullet Toss raises more than $20,000 per year for charity.
